SG Iron Casting

SG Iron Casting, also known as Spheroidal Graphite Iron Casting or Ductile Iron Casting, is a type of cast iron that has superior strength, toughness, and ductility compared to traditional gray cast iron.

This is achieved by adding small amounts of magnesium or cerium to molten iron, which causes the graphite to form in spherical (nodular) shapes instead of flakes.

These spherical graphite inclusions significantly enhance the mechanical properties, making SG iron ideal for applications requiring high strength, impact resistance, and fatigue endurance.
