Conventional waterproofing

Water proofing is a process that designed to prevent ingress of water into a structure.Water proofing, typically is executed in stage creating multiple barriers in the water path. Many a times, combination of different systems is adopted to suit the site condition for evolving an effictive water proofing methodology.

Conventional systems are as follows:

1.Brick Bat Coba Method: Roof slabs need insulation for thermal comfort and waterproofing treatment to prevent leakage of water. Both these requirements are effectively full filled by BBC treatment.

2.Bituminous method: Bitumen is more commonly used in the form of felt or flexible membrane formed by sandwiching jute fabric or fiberglass mats with chemically modified bitumen. These membranes are laid on the roofing over a bitumen primer.

3.Box type water proofing: This type of waterproofing system is used only for basement waterproofing or waterproofing structures below the ground level from outside to prevent leakage of subsoil water into the basement.
